Father Anizet Koplinski became known as the Beggar of Warsaw, walking the streets collecting for the poor. He was one of many that were killed in Auschwitz. The facade of the the Capuchin Church of the Transfiguration in Warsaw was modeled on the Capuchin church in Rome.
